Today Harjeeta is honoured by the award, which was announced earlier. In 66th national awards, where bollywood movies like Padmavat, Uri and Andadhun graced by national awards, pollywood is also not less than any other industry in order to achieve triumph for it as “Harjeeta’ bagged the national award as this film hasn’t won one award but it has bagged two awards. Yes! one award for Best Punjabi Film and second for Best Child Actor  Sameep Ranaut who has played the character of junior Harjeeta.

Talking about movie, last year on May 18 released punjabi movie, ‘Harjeeta’ was a biopic on Harjeet Singh Tuli who was India’s captain in the Men’s Hockey Junior World Cup 2016, and under his captaincy the nation won trophy after wait of 2 decades. Moreover, this movie was directed by Vijay Kumar Arora and written by Jagdeep Sidhu. Movie included stars Ammy Virk, Sawan Rupowali, Pankaj Tripathi and Sameep Ranaut whereas it was produced by Sizzle Productions, Malika Productions, Omjee Group, and Villagers Film Studio perhaps this film couldn’t get much recognition at the box office but today after more than a year, it has been declared as the Best Punjabi Film at the 66th National Awards by the jury. It was said that good work and good content never left unaccredited and today it is proved once again when our people haven’t appreciated our work and recognized it but then it seeks out its own way out and live on great platform.

This shows that good work can never be left unrecognized. In addition, Harjeeta is not the first movie that has gained national recognition for punjabi industry because in 2015, Punjab 1984 was awarded with the same. This movie was directed by Anurag Singh and starred Diljit Dosanjh, Kirron Kher and Sonam Bajwa in pivotal roles. We congratulated Ammy Virk and the team of Harjeeta for this massive success and hope to achieve more in future. After this, roles and responsibilities on punjabi industry is weighed more and it’s time to see how this industry live up to this bar of success.
