Music industry has always been in limelight either because of good cause or some negative cause. This time it’s sad because famous Bollywood singer Mika Singh got ban by All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) on tuesday as he recently performed in the wedding of a close relative of ‘Pervez Musharraf’ in Karachi, Pakistan.
All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) with the intervention of ‘Information and Broadcasting Ministry’ boycotted him from all the movies and music contracts with the entertainment companies. In the matter, AICWA President Suresh Shyamlal Gupta passed a statement that “AICWA takes a stand of boycotting all his association with movie production houses, music companies and online music content providers“. He also added that ”AICWA will make sure that no one in India works with Mika Singh and if anyone does, they will face legal consequences in the court of law.”
Furthermore, the film association said that ”When the tension between the countries is at the peak, Mika Singh puts money above the nation’s pride.” Moreover, certain reports alleged that Mika charged around USD 150,000 (Rs 1.06 crore) for the performance. Mika’s performance at this event came at the heels of Indian government’s decision, after the Indian government scrabbed Articles 370 and 35(A) which worsened the relations between the two governments. We hope that Mika could solve this matter as soon as possible.
