‘Mar Gaye Oye Loko’ is all set to hit the screens on August 31 and the cast of the film is too excited with the promotions of the film. In an exclusive interview with the female lead of the film, British actress Sapna Pabbi shared with us her experiences regarding her debut in the Punjabi film industry.
Sapna has already acclaimed a lot of appreciation and critical acclaim for her role in the web series ’24’ and ‘Breathe’. With such a charming persona and a lively character, she will be seen as the love interest of Gippy Grewal in ‘Mar Gaye Oye Loko’.
Pabbi has also worked in Bollywood as well and we asked her what could be one thing that Pollywood could learn from Bollywood, to which she replied that Punjabi film industry should learn some organisational skills from Bollywood and should not remain so chilled-out in their approach.
On the other hand, she is altogether very excited to have worked in this film. On being asked about her decision to enter Pollywood, she said that she had always wanted to do a Punjabi film and was even offered a few scripts but she was waiting to be given a role in a film with such a huge star cast as this film.
Whether or not she read the script of the film, she said that she did not need to read it because it was a comedy film which is very situational and impulsive and it was not utterly necessary to read the whole script.
Sharing some snippets from the shoot of the film, she revealed that it was a lot of fun working with the team and everyone made her feel comfortable on the sets and did not even once make her feel like an outsider. She said that the film is replete with comic scenes and she would always be laughing on the sets of the film.
Pabbi also stated that she is very proud of the way Neeru Bajwa has established herself in Punjabi film industry as an actor and a producer.
‘Mar Gaye Oye Loko’ releases next week to a lot of expectations and we are hoping Sapna Pabbi will be able to leave her mark through her debut.
