Well 2019 started with a bang for Punjabi industry. But at one place the increased number of movies and their unique concepts are very well appreciated on the other hand the clash between the flicks is something disturbing.

Although clash of films is not new but unfortunately the frequency is increasing day by day. In December we observed this clash between ‘Vadda kalakaar’ and ‘Simbaa’ then the same was observed between ‘Kala Shah Kala’ and ‘Gully Boy’ and now ‘Muklawa’ and ‘Chandigarh Amritsar Chandigarh’ are also facing the same issue. Movie might be any but it is the result of hard efforts of every single crewmember, the hard earned money of investors, on screen faces and off screen team everything comes on stake when such thing is observed. Vadda Kalakaar drowned in this clash although Kala Shah Kala came out well, but whole team faces the result.

The clash between Diljit’s Bollywood movie Arjun Patiala and Ammy Virk-Sonam Bajwa starrer Muklawa was in news. The Punjabi makers had to adjust the dates and Muklawa was pushed to 24th May 2019 and Diljit’s Shadaa, which was to release on 24th May 2019 was further pushed to 21st June 2019. The makers of Muklawa didn’t even have a chance to breathe properly that Karaan Guliani’s Chandigarh- Amritsar–Chandigarh was recently announced for release on 24th May 2019, the same date as Muklawa.

We do appreciate the good decision of our makers to reschedule the movies, if certain things could be worked out in this way then there will be no confusions left any more.
